How do you care for your Sterling Silver your personalised jewellery to maintain it’s exquisite lustre and quality?

Remember to store your jewellery in a safe and secure place.
While storing your jewellery avoid dust, moisture and direct light to ensure your jewellery does not tarnish and discolour.

*When wearing your jewellery, simply follow the golden rule Last On and First Off. *

Put jewellery on last so that it is not sprayed with perfumes and hairspray.
Take it off first, before going to bed.
Never exercise, sleep, bath or swim in your jewellery.
Moisturisers, perfume based products, sunscreens and tanning products, chlorinated or salt water are especially damaging to silver.

Sterling Silver may tarnish and oxidise.
This is a natural reaction to chemicals in the atmosphere, heat and the body oils of the wearer.
Tarnish can usually be removed by careful use of a good quality jewellery cleaning cloth.
Contact with perfume, hairspray, chlorinated or salt water or household cleaning products should always be avoided.

Silver is a malleable (soft) metal; therefore take care with your jewellery as it can bend or break under excessive force.

Should your precious jewellery ever become heavily tarnished, please feel comfortable to return it to The Jewel Shop where we can professionally clean and polish it for you and we can advise you of the necessary information to keep it looking beautiful.

We do specify that you return items for cleaning and polishing by REGISTERED POST ONLY.
We cannot be responsible if the item is not delivered to us.
We suggest you email your tracking number to us when you have posted it; then we can track the delivery for you.
