About Rolled Gold
Rolled Gold is a solid layer of Gold bonded with heat and pressure to a base metal, such as Brass or Copper.
Spherical Rolled Gold is a layer of 14kt Gold on jeweller's brass.
The thickness of the 14kt Gold is 1/20th of the total weight of the article and is marked where possible, 14/20.
Rolled Gold has been referred to as "Gold of the Future" because it has the same physical characteristics as solid Gold, such as beauty, durability and strength at a fraction of the cost of solid Gold.
It is nearly impossible to tell the difference between solid Gold and Rolled Gold, except of course, when it comes to the cost!
